Hi! I am Mel and I am currently preparing for medical school. I design/maintain this blog and “This Future M.D.” on Tumblr with the intention of searching for answers to the questions that I had as a pre-medical student and the questions that I have now about medical school and my future career prospects.

I am learning so much about medicine because I believe it exists as more than a profession. It is the opportunity for hopeful students to work towards improving the human condition and it is a unique culture a, White Coat Culture, that I am passionate about understanding.
